Who doesn’t love some sweet treats during the holidays? I love gifting cookies, brownies and even sometimes homemade candy during the holidays.
As my kids get older, they get more involved in the baking fun as well. In fact, I guess we bake so often that my daughter has now decided she wants to be a baker when she grows up!
So adorable.
I always look for fun new recipes to share with friends and family, and around mid November/early December is when I start testing!
My son has been begging me for M&M cookies recently and I have to admit…I am just not a fan! Now trust me, I am an M&M lover, but in cookies, they just don’t have enough chocolate for me.
I’ve tried adding just a few M&M’s to my regular chocolate chip cookie recipe and it just didn’t do the trick.
I have finally stumbled upon M&M cookie perfection though…and it comes in the form of MINI M&M’s! Woohoo!
Half a bag of the minis and half a bag of semi sweet chocolate…and you have Cookie Gold. I really can’t wait to share this recipe with friends and family (and with YOU!).
Best of all, I found a great way to disperse cookies this year! These Hefty Slider Bags boast a strong, secure seal to keep contents safe and avoid spills and messes.

Mini M&M and Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter
- 3/4 white sugar
- 3/4 brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 6 oz mini M&M’s
- 6 oz chocolate chips
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375
- Cream butter and sugars together. Add vanilla extract and eggs and mix well.
- In a seperate bowl, combine flour, salt and baking powder.
- Slowly add flour mixture to wet mixture. Once combined add mini M&M’s and chocolate chips
- Drop by tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes. (I personally like to take my cookies out when they are just browning on the bottom and still look pretty undercooked on top. Then I let them finish “baking” on the pan!)
Enjoy!
