I’ve been on a bit of a sewing/creating kick lately.
When I realized Teacher Appreciation Week was coming up, I knew I wanted to make something for my kiddos teachers that would be functional and fun! I also knew I wanted the kids to be able to participate.
So when this adorable Owl Tutorial popped up in one of my sewing Facebook groups, I knew I had to show it to the kids! They both said YES! They wanted us to gift their teachers these cute little owls.
The great part about this project is that it requires VERY little fabric so it’s a great stash buster!
The most expensive piece of this project was the fusible fleece. You need so little though that it’s not really a big expense. Everything else I already had on hand. They are filled with rice and regular stuffing. The kids did all of the stuffing for me!
This is a great idea for a first sewing project for an adult or a child! I am going to make myself one to use as intended ( as a sewing buddy!) as well.
We purchased a few goodies to replenish their teachers supplies and tucked them into their owls as well 😉 . I also used my embroidery machine to embroider their names on the wings.
Let me know if you make one!
These are so cute! Great idea using them as teacher gifts! So glad you and your kids enjoyed the pattern. Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you so much for creating it! They were well loved!
