Queso Blanco Recipe - Compare This to Your Favorite Mexican Food Restaurant!
  • Olive Oil
  • ¼ cup diced sweet onion
  • 1 large jalapeno seed and stem removed and finely diced
  • 12 oz white American cheese (I got this from the deli!)
  • 4 oz Mexican Blend cheese, shredded (I used pre-shredded, the original recipe recommends you do NOT. Worked fine for me though. For a whiter queso, use all monterey jack cheese)
  • ¼-2/3 cup whole milk
  • 1 roma tomato, seeds removed and diced
  • 1 small bunch cilantro chopped
  1. Drizzle olive oil on the bottom of a deep pot
  2. Add jalapeno and onion to the pan and sautee until soft
  3. Add your cheese and ¼ cup of your milk, stir until melted
  4. Add your tomatoes and cilantro
  5. Add milk until you get the consistency that you want.
  6. Serve!
