Wow! It’s been awhile since I’ve done a Five Question Friday! I missed doing them, but it came to a point on FFF where I couldn’t really do personal posts like this. You combine deals + giveaways + articles and throwing in a personal post was just overload!
I’m excited to be able to participate on A Southern Mom though!
Let’s get started:
1. Will you run to the store or to pick up a kid looking a mess?
Absolutely. I won’t wear pajamas, but definitely sweats and a T-Shirt. There was a time when I wouldn’t leave the house without makeup. In fact, I once skipped school because I was out of makeup. That doesn’t bother me at all anymore.
2. Do you finish a book if it’s boring or you don’t like it?
Ugh yes. I can’t stand unfinished books. Well, fiction at least. I’ve left many a non fiction book on Chapter 6 and never looked back.
3. Beach or mountain vacations?
Beach for sure. I do love the mountains, but you have to go pretty far to get to them from here. The beach is much closer and I like to vacation close to home.
4. What thing/event says “winter will end and spring is right around the corner” to you?
Bluebonnets! When we take our bluebonnet pictures, it’s officially spring.
Here’s a bluebonnet picture from last year. Look how sad those bluebonnets are (not to mention my very annoyed kids)!
It has rained like crazy this year (last year we had a drought) so I’m hopeful for something more like this (yes I know those aren’t all bluebonnets, but isn’t it GORGEOUS with the yellow and blue!):
5. Would you prefer couples or family vacation?
Family. I am in no way ready to leave the kids for a couple vacation. We don’t have anyone to leave them with anyways!
I’d love to hear your answers!
Oh, the bluebonnets! Looking forward to that pic again this year! Hopefully you’ll be able to find a good spot this year.
I hope so too! Driving around the area today we saw a ton of bluebonnets already! That’s kind of rare for this area. We usually have to drive pretty far! Of course, it wasn’t the big open fields though. So the pictures would have traffic or building in the background, LOL
What gorgeous pictures of y’all in the field of bluebonnets! Loved the rest of your answers this week, too, especially the last bit in #2: “In fact, I once skipped school because I was out of makeup.” Hah! That was so me!
Thank you Sadie!
I know what you mean about last year’s drought. Never again will I take rain for granted. Even now, I’m not a big fan of sunny days. Lol! Last summer was so miserable.
I’m hoping the bluebonnets will be gorgeous this spring! I miss them. I posted older pics of them recently, just because I never got to see them last year at all. I, too, see those bluebonnets as the first sign of spring. I saw the first one’s a couple weeks ago.
