Man, we really did push all of our spring activities onto the backburner this year!
Like bluebonnets, we usually go strawberry picking in late March/early April.
This year though, with baseball and other activities…it just wasn’t going to happen!
Thankfully though, we made our way over to our favorite Strawberry Picking field this past Friday. Froberg’s Farm is a wonderful pick your own strawberry farm and grocery store! They sell many homegrown items other than strawberries, but they are most well known for their wonderful strawberries!
My daughter is a complete strawberry monster. She could eat a bucket of strawberries all by herself. Like a BIG bucket.
My son on the other hand doesn’t have much use for strawberries (or fruit…or vegetables…or food besides pizza and cheeseburgers in general…), but he enjoys picking strawberries as well (although not quite as much as his little sister!).
This year, not only did we get to Froberg’s later in the season…we also went on a Sunday. I highly recommend going on a Saturday since there are less pickers throughout the week and MANY pickers on Saturdays! So by Sunday, you are really having to hunt!
Thankfully though, we filled our buckets and came home with some tasty strawberry goodness!
Next year, we’ll definitely go a bit earlier!
I also picked up some yummy strawberry preserves…so I’ll be making this stuffed french toast soon!

*FYI, this is not a sponsored post…Froberg’s doesn’t even know we were there, LOL
